This summer, Dinosaur George is bringing the Traveling Museum to communities across Texas! Thanks to the Dinosaur George Summer Outreach Program, selected communities will have the chance to experience the museum’s incredible exhibits of dinosaurs, ancient mammals, prehistoric fish, and more—all at no cost. This educational event will excite and inspire visitors of all ages!
The program is designed to give back to Texas communities by providing free access to high-quality educational exhibits that might otherwise be out of reach. We believe every community, big or small, deserves the chance to explore our planet‘s past.
Step 1: Connect with Local Officials
If you’re passionate about bringing the Dinosaur George Traveling Museum to your area, we encourage you to connect with local leaders such as museum staff, chamber of commerce representatives, or library directors so that they can submit an application on behalf of your community.
Step 2: Secure a Venue
You must ensure that a suitable venue (around 3,000 square feet) is available for the event. The space should be able to comfortably accommodate the Dinosaur George exhibits and the public.
Step 3: Submit your Application
Local officials should complete the online application form for the Dinosaur George Summer Outreach Program. Be sure to include venue information.

The number of selected communities depends on factors such as demand, location, and availability. While we aim to bring the museum to as many communities as possible, these factors will determine how many communities are chosen.
Additionally, all approved applicants will be automatically entered into our social media contest, which will run from April 1st to April 15th. The contest will take place on our Facebook page and feature approved communities that have not yet been selected. Only one winner will be chosen at random, but each like and share of the contest post will count as an entry, so be sure to encourage your community to spread the word!

Communities will be notified by April 15th, 2025, and the application period closes on March 31st.
Yes! After being selected, you may choose to book a second consecutive day for a reduced fee of $900.
The event will take place on a Saturday and will be open to the public all day.
