What is the Dinosaur George Summer Outreach Program?
This summer, Dinosaur George is bringing the Traveling Museum to communities across Texas! Thanks to the Dinosaur George Summer Outreach Program, selected communities will have the chance to experience the museum’s incredible exhibits of dinosaurs, ancient mammals, prehistoric fish, and more—all at no cost. This educational event will excite and inspire visitors of all ages!
The program is designed to give back to Texas communities by providing free access to high-quality educational exhibits that might otherwise be out of reach. We believe every community, big or small, deserves the chance to explore our planet‘s past.
Application Process
Step 1: Connect with Local Officials
If you’re passionate about bringing the Dinosaur George Traveling Museum to your area, we encourage you to connect with local leaders such as museum staff, chamber of commerce representatives, or library directors so that they can submit an application on behalf of your community.
Step 2: Secure a Venue
You must ensure that a suitable venue (around 3,000 square feet) is available for the event. The space should be able to comfortably accommodate the Dinosaur George exhibits and the public.
Step 3: Submit your Application
Local officials should complete the online application form for the Dinosaur George Summer Outreach Program. Be sure to include venue information.

Requirements for Community Hosts
To ensure a successful event, there are a few requirements for your community to participate in the Dinosaur George Summer Outreach Program:

- Community Promotion: Your community must promote the event to ensure high attendance. We will provide a social media kit to get you started.
- Free Admission: The event must be free to the public. This ensures that everyone in the community, regardless of their financial situation, can enjoy the experience.
- Merchandise Sales: We must be able to set up our gift shop and sell our merchandise throughout the duration of the event.
- Approval for Email List: Emails used to apply will be added to our email distribution list for future program updates.
