About our free event program
For nearly 30 years, Dinosaur George has personally funded visits to schools that couldn’t afford them. After years of lung cancer treatment and a heart attack in July, mounting medical bills mean he can no longer cover those visits himself.
Our GoFundMe helps keep them going.
Each visit includes a full school day so every grade level can explore the exhibit, plus two hours that evening for families and the public to enjoy it for free.
Applications are now open for select 2026 - 2027 dates.
Apply for a Free Traveling Museum Visit
Every child deserves the chance to stand beside a dinosaur skull, explore fossils up close, and ask all the questions that come to mind. We know how much educators do to create those moments, even when the resources aren’t there.
Thanks to our GoFundMe donors, we can bring the Dinosaur George Traveling Museum to Texas schools serving low-income communities that wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford a visit.
